Cherry color, pleasant and persistent bubble, nose of cherry, wild strawberry, red currant, strong acidity with mineral vein.

 

About the producer: Podere il Saliceto comes from the tiny village of Campogalliano on Modena's outskirts, where former Muay Thai champion Gian Paolo Isabella and his brother-in-law Marcello tend to their 4-hectare estate. Their approach is gentle and natural, working organically with traditional Lambrusco varieties and the rare Malbo Gentile.

 

This wine is not disgorged, so you’ll notice natural sediment in the bottle. You can pour gently for a clearer glass, or swirl to mix for more texture and flavor. Chill well, open slowly (preferably over a sink), and expect a little wild energy in the glass.
