Shipping policy

Easy, Sustainable Shipping

At this time, we only ship within the state of California. At Unfined Wines, we are committed to providing you with stress-free shipping and ensuring transparency in our processes. We take great care in shipping and handling your order, using 100% recycled packaging materials. However, in certain circumstances, we may use styrofoam inserts, which are sustainably made and fully recyclable, based on weather conditions and at our discretion.

Important Compliance Requirements:

To comply with legal requirements, our carriers such as UPS can only deliver wine to customers who are 21 years or older. It is necessary for you or your recipient to be present at the delivery address to receive the package, the driver CANNOT leave your package at the door. The carrier will verify age upon delivery.

Returned/Re-shipping a Package:

If three delivery attempts are made by UPS and a package is returned to us, we will require a re-shipping fee to ship the wine again and you will need to pay this before we can attempt to ship the package again.The cost of this fee will depend on the shipping address and number of bottles. Shipping wine is a costly process and we apologize for any inconvenience. Please ensure that someone is available at the designated shipping address. If you wish to receive a refund for a packaged returned to us, please note that the shipping fee you paid will not be refunded to you and we will also deduct a $25 shipping return fee from the refund. This is due to the high cost charged by UPS for returns, which hurt our small business.

If you were eligible for free shipping and the shipping carrier could not reach you to make the delivery and as such the package is returned to us, you will be assessed the original charge of shipping the package to you that we paid to the shipping carrier to ship the wine to you (free shipping means we cover the cost of the shipping on your behalf and pay it to the shipping carrier). Shipping carrier must be paid for transit whether or not the delivery is actually made to the customer, hence why we have to do this assessment. This assessment is in addition to the $25 fee mentioned above and would also come out of your refund.

Re-routing a Package:

If you need to re-route a package after it has been shipped, we can assist you with that. However, please be aware that a re-routing fee will apply, to be determined at the time of re-routing.

Canceling an Order:

If you wish to cancel an order after it has been shipped, we can accommodate your request. However, please note that a cancellation fee will apply. The exact amount will depend on the size of your order. Carriers charge us significant fees to recall a package that is already in transit, and this fee helps cover those costs.

Heat Damage:

Please be aware that we are not responsible for any heat-related issues that may occur during transit. We take precautions to minimize the risk, but extreme temperatures can affect the quality of the wine. It is advisable to consider the weather conditions in your area when placing an order.

What is the order process when you choose to have wine shipped?

Once you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email containing your order summary (Please make sure your email address is correct, otherwise you will not receive order and shipping email confirmations). Our typical processing time is 1-2 days. Our shipping partners do not offer same-day delivery and they do not pick up wine on the weekends (As an example if you order on Friday, your order will go out that following Monday; Similarly, if you order on Monday after 10am, your order will likely get picked up by our shipping partner by Wednesday). As soon as your order is picked up/shipped from our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with the tracking information for your package. Please use the provided tracking service to monitor the progress of your shipment. The carrier will attempt delivery up to three times. If delivery is unsuccessful after three attempts or if you fail to retrieve your package from the carrier depot by the stated deadline, the package will be returned to us and your shipping fee will not be refunded to you.

Returns Policy:

All sales are final. However, we value your satisfaction, and if you are not completely satisfied with the bottle you purchased, we encourage you to contact us.
