Orbis Moderandi, Sparkling Pinot Noir

Orbis Moderandi, Sparkling Pinot Noir

Farming : Organic

Winemaking : Hand-Harvested | Native Yeast | No Added Sulfites | Vegan

Region : Marlborough, Waihopai Valley, New Zealand

Grape : Pinot Noir

Alcohol by Volume : 12%

Notes:

Hand harvested off of a single block. 10 days on skins to enhance color, but with only 2-3 pump overs to minimize tannin extraction and maintain a juicy, fresh style to the wine. Gravity drained into stainless steel to complete the first fermentation.. Delicate rose, fresh strawberry, pomegranate, ripe cherry, earthy. Medium intensity on aromas and flavors. Good length. Funky and fun.

The wine is produced by Hunter’s Estate (Peter and James MacDonald), one of the oldest and very best producers in the Marlborough region. The family were pioneers along with Cloudy Bay. All estate fruit, the wines reflect an artisanal example of Marlborough.
