Quirky light skin-contact Catalan Rousanne that boasts dry and crisp acidity with notes of stone fruit, ripe citrus, and flowers. A touch of earthiness and subtle spiciness brings depth to the palate. On the nose, catch hints of grapefruit, orange peel, apricot, and white flowers. Overall a very easy-to-drink orange wine!

Brutal in Catalan essentially translates to dope, as in dope wine, a term frequently used in the natural wine world. The wine has to be completely natural, including no added sulfites. Though the idea of this wine and its unique bottle artwork (which remains the same each year) were initially created by a couple winemaker friends (Brutal Wine Corporation) as a way to create experimental wines, it quickly evolved into an open-sourced project that now involves some of the most sought after natural winemakers across the globe, each taking their turn at making a Brutal wine. This means every year we get a completely different Brutal vintage! This 2022 vintage is from Vega Aixala winery which is located in Conca de Barbera, Catalonia region of Spain.
